AntiSpam & AntiVirus
Agile Telecom Ltd. is official distributor of eXpurgate - Spam filter and e-mail categorisation service

eXpurgate is based on state-of-the-art Spam-recognition and e-mail-categorisation technology developed by eleven. Alongside other checks, eXpurgate inspects e-mails for that most definitive of Spam characteristics - that of mass mailing. A major component of this inspection is known as the "bulkcheck". eleven has designed a checksum algorithm for this purpose. This allows the system to compare several e-mails without knowing an e-mail's actual textual content. This is done by breaking down the e-mail to a code of just a few bytes that doesn't allow any conclusions to be drawn about the mail's original content. The greater the frequency with which the same or similar e-mails were received in the past, the higher the probability that the e-mail currently being inspected is actually Spam. Identification is carried out solely on the basis of the short checksum.

When combined with other testing procedures, eXpurgate is able to definitively categorise an e-mail as Spam or as a different type of mass mailing such as a newsletter. Moreover, eXpurgate also recognises dangerous e-mail content that could interfere with your IT system. Self-learning "bulkcheck" technology, as developed by eleven, normally delays the ultimate delivery of the e-mail to the client by just a fraction of a second. Encryption ensures that e-mail confidentiality is not compromised. When compared with conventional Spam filters, which operate by simply comparing previously-identified and familiar phrases etc., our technology reduces the occurrence of "false positives" (e-mails incorrectly identified as Spam) to an absolute minimum.

All hitherto available Spam filters operate according to the same principle: they attempt to detect SPAM by comparing with previously identified and familiar phrases, headings and senders or by using distributors or relays. Such programmes are extremely unreliable and often even filter out e-mails which have nothing to do with Spam ("false positives"). Such filters could be deemed to be counterproductive because the filtered e-mails need to be continuously scanned for inadvertently filtered e-mails. These systems also require a considerable amount of time dedicated to manual maintenance or updating activities, provided they even support such features. Such filters are therefore always associated with very time-consuming administrative tasks.

eXpurgate, on the other hand, does not require updating and, once initially configured, is not a drain on administrative resources. Furthermore, eXpurgate not only filters out Spam, but also supports the appropriate sorting of other mass mailings, while ensuring that "false positives" are practically out of the question.
